How to find a Battery Recycling Center in your area.

Instructions

1. Step 1 - Go to Earth911
2. Step 2 - Click on the "Where to Recycle" tab at the top of the page.
3. Step 3 - When the new page comes up, type "Lead Acid Batteries" in the search bar. Then type in your Zip Code and click "search".
4. Step 4 - Select "Search" and all of the companies that will recycle Lead Acid Batteries will appear. Remember, car batteries are just large sealed maintenance-free lead acid batteries. Both car batteries and exit & emergency lighting batteries are chemically identical lead batteries and can be recycled together.
5. Step 5 - You will see a results page showing the closest recycling centers to your location. Simply choose one and drop them off. .
