This is a retainer for the 2" Ames 4000B reduced pressure zone backflow preventer. This retainer holds the check assemblies in place and is accessed by removing the relief valve assembly. The retainer often will break when servicing the check assemblies. Genuine Ames repair parts. No special tools are required for servicing.
